The Annapurna Base camp Trek is a gorgeous trail through pleasant and picturesque landscape of Nepal that accommodates the gallery of some of the most amazing flora and fauna. Along with such beautiful landscape, you can also experience the lifestyle of some of the most authentic and diversified cultures of Nepal.

The overall trip is a combination of an unforgettable experience into the depth of nature, culture and the ancient site explorations. The trip starts from the ancient city of Kathmandu. The sightseeing itinerary in Kathmandu includes visits to some of the World Heritage Sites and exploration into some of the ancient temples. The trip then leads to picturesque Pokhara where you can stroll through quaint villages, waterfalls, Himalayan river crossings and a set of some of the best rhododendron (Nepal’s national flower) forests.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,300m

After a breathtaking Himalayan flight to Kathmandu, upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), you will be warmly greeted by our representative who will also escort you to your Hotel. After check in and refreshment, there will be a briefing session by our tour consultant and the rest of the day is at your leisure to rest or explore the sights of the valley. Overnight at Hotel
We take an early morning tourist bus to Pokhara stopping en-route for lunch. It is a scenic drive of 5 hours with views of mountains, rivers and villages with breath taking terraced rice paddies. Pokhara is an enchanting city with magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and other Himalayan peaks. Dotted by numerous lakes (Tal), Pokhara is the most beautiful region of Nepal and a variety of optional activities can be availed here from Avia ultra light flights, Para-gliding, fishing, sky diving, etc. An evening stroll alongside the Lakeside city can be a thrilling experience. After breakfast in the hotel about 7:30 am we drive to Nayapul the start point of our trek. From here you follow the south bank of the river. A pleasant hike takes you through sub-tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. Ghandruk village is one of the most beautiful place in front of Annapurna mountains. The Village a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people. Besides enjoying the stunningly close-up views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiuchuli mountains, we also acquaint ourselves with the simple but rich cultural traditions of the Gurung people at the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk. After breakfast, we will short ascent hike and downhills crossing a suspension bridge over the Modi river along with trivial local settlements, greenery peaks, small streams and trek to Chhomrong village, a beautiful village exploring the great view of Annapurna I ranges. After approx. 2 hours walk you will get to Sinuwa. Overnight at Lodge.
As usual after breakfast you start your hike following the river through bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests up the canyon, crossing two streams and small bridges. The beauty and tranquility on this portiion of the trail will give you peace of mind. Overnight at Mountain Lodge
After breakfast the hike to MBC, Machhapuchhre base camp begins through a trail on the river bed that gently slopes upwards to rise steeply up the mountain. Be careful of some avalanche prone areas in between here and Deurali, before being surrounded by giant snow topped mountains - awesome! It's a tough and strenuous hike but this is more than compensated by the majesty of the Himalayas surrounding us. After explore the Machhapuchhre base camp, we will trek to Annapurna base camp which is another strenuous day ahead of you but quite worth it as your trial leads you from the Machhapuchhre base camp to the famous Annapurna base camp that vegetation gradually disappears and we encounter numerous snow boulders melting to form streams. the path gradually widens as we enter the fabled Annapurna sanctuary and the panoramic 360 degree views will quite literally take your breath away - Machhapuchhare, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and other peaks - standing directly in front of you, unimpeded by anything else. An early morning tea with the awe inspiring sunrise over the Himalayas is something to reflect and rejuvenate ourselves with... After a hearty breakfast, you are ready to leave for Bamboo and your hike is a gradual drop through varios geopgraphical feature interspererd with fantastic views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains. Reflecting on the days ahead and the magnificent vistas you have hiked through, we descend to Jhinu Danda diverging from Chomrong. Jhinu Danda has some great hot springs a few minutes away - rejuvenate yourself with a long soak in the hot water. Overnight at Mountain lodge
Your last day on the trek takes you through Kyumi village, Syali bazaar, Birethani before finally arriving at Naya Pul, where your car will be waiting to drive you back to the wonderful home comforts of your hotel in Pokhara. It has been an incredible trek and experience! The rest of the day can be spent at leisure and maybe you can take a stroll at lakeside and catch up on the modern world. Overnight at Hotel
Your flight is scheduled for the late afternoon so you can utilize the morning to visit down town Pokhara or other areas of interest - or simple, have a tea / coffee at Lakeside and stare at the magnificent Fishtail and Annapurna’s! On arrival at Kathmandu, met by our representative and escorted to Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to catch up on some last minute shopping or stroll the crowded by lines of Kathmandu. Later in the evening a celebration and welcome dinner on the successful completion of an incredible journey. Overnight at Hotel
The finale of your journey and we are loath to see you go! Our representative will drop you to the airport or if you are intersted you can extend your trip by taking another interesting trek, tour or extensions to Tibet, Bhutan or Sikkim, ask us!
