Jiri-Everest Base Camp Trek is the classic trekking route used by the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary during their Mt. Everest expedition in 1953. The trekkers during the trek can explore and enjoy both the natural and cultural aspects of the whole Khumbu region; its green forest, rare wild animals, birds, lush valleys including the spectacular view of the world tallest mountain - the Everest and others like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse , Mt. Amadablam , Mt. Pumori, Mt. Thamserku etc.
Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek begins with a road journey from Kathmandu to Jiri from where we begin our walk. Since the trek begins from the comparatively low lands it provides a good chance of acclimatization and exploration through the villages and glaciers in Khumbu region.
