Pashupatinath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva which is built in the 5th century and renovated by Mall Kings. It is one of the most important sacred sites in Asia for Shiva Devotees and listed in UNESCO 8th cultural heritage sites. The site itself is said to have existed from the initial of the period when a Shiva lingam was visible here. There are more than hundreds of Shiva lingams within temple compound. Only Hindus devotees are allow entering inside the main temple through main gate. It is also a cremation site on the bank of Baghmati River for Hindus. More than hundreds thousands of Hindus devotees are visits from Nepal and India during Maha Shivaratri festival in spring.
